Students from Christ
For the Nations Institute
Dec. 1 - 4, 2000 11 students from Christ For the Nations Institute in Dallas, Texas visited us in Mt. Vernon, Missouri. We had invited them to come and 'do the Services, lead the worship, teach the Sunday School classes and preach the Word'.. in part because it would give them a feel for the ministry, but more so because we felt God was calling for this.
The meetings saw a move of the Spirit of God that resulted in at least 10 people coming to Jesus (some were rededications, some were conversions). One girl who received Christ as her Lord and Saviour was a girl my daughter has been praying for, for a long time now. It was joyous!! Glorious!
The excitement and enthusiasm ... and the love and compassion ... and the Spirit of God demonstrated in the lives of these young people were a great testimony and challenge to the Church. We feel it is just a New Beginning.. for all of us.
