God has passed sentence not only on Satan but on the world. Through the cross and the resurrection satan's head was bruised and his authority broken. He and his hierarchy and the entire world system, which is anti-God and anti-Christ, stand condemned. Satan is allowed limited activity in the area of temptation and testing while he awaits his final imprisonment in the lake of fire. The world over which he has sought to hold sway is likewise doomed. God has passed judgment on it. It likewise awaits "the fire".
