LESSON FOUR: Conversion

Since repentance and conversion are very similar we shall study what the Scriptures teach concerning conversion.

I. WHAT IT MEANS TO BE CONVERTED

Hebrew was the original language of the Old Testament. Greek was that of the New. The Greek word translated "convert" is "epistrepho." Like repentance, it also is translated "turn." When used in connection with repentance and faith, to be converted means "to turn form the wrong way to the right way."

II. WHY, according to the following verses, IS IT IMPORTANT that one be converted?
